Cloud Operations

We Run Your Customer's Cloud.
So Your Team Can Ship.

VonTech embeds directly into your customer project as the cloud operations partner — owning infrastructure provisioning, day-to-day monitoring, incident response, patching, and cost governance from kickoff through to handover. Your developers stay focused on product; we keep the environment running.

What We Own

Everything Below the Application Layer

We take full responsibility for the infrastructure layer on your customer project — so there is a clear line between what your dev team owns and what we own.

01

Environment Provisioning

We spin up dev, staging, and production environments using Terraform and AWS CDK, with network segmentation, IAM roles, and secrets management configured from day one.

02

Live Infrastructure Monitoring

CloudWatch dashboards and custom alarms cover every layer — EC2, RDS, Lambda, ECS — with escalation paths mapped to your team's on-call schedule.

03

Incident Management

When an alarm fires, our engineers triage within SLA, execute runbooks, and coordinate with your dev team to restore service — all with a written post-incident report.

04

Patch & Compliance Management

OS and runtime patches applied on schedule via AWS Systems Manager. Config rules and Security Hub findings are reviewed weekly and resolved before they become audit findings.

05

Cost Governance

Monthly cost reviews with tagged resource breakdowns, rightsizing recommendations, reserved instance planning, and budget alerts tied to project milestones.

06

Handover & Knowledge Transfer

At project close we produce runbooks, architecture diagrams, and a live walkthrough so your customer's internal team can take over operations with confidence.

How We Engage

How We Work on a Customer Project

Every engagement follows a structured model so both your team and the customer always know what's happening, who owns what, and what comes next.

01

Discovery & Assessment

Week 1–2

We review the customer's existing AWS account, architecture diagrams, and security posture. We document what's running, what's at risk, and what needs to be built. Output: a findings report and a prioritised operations plan.

02

Environment Setup

Week 2–4

Using Terraform, we provision VPCs, subnets, IAM roles, S3 buckets, RDS instances, and compute resources in line with the project architecture. We wire up CloudWatch alarms and set up tagging for cost allocation from day one.

03

Steady-State Operations

Ongoing

Our engineers run day-to-day operations — monitoring dashboards, responding to alerts, applying patches via AWS Systems Manager, managing deployments, and attending weekly ops reviews with the project team.

04

Incident Response

On-demand

When an incident fires, we triage within the agreed SLA, execute the runbook, engage the dev team only when needed, and restore service. Every P1/P2 incident closes with a written post-incident report and a corrective action.

05

Cost & Compliance Reviews

Monthly

Monthly cost reviews surface rightsizing opportunities, reserved instance savings, and budget variance by project tag. Security Hub findings and Config rule violations are addressed before the customer's next audit window.

06

Knowledge Transfer & Handover

Project close

We write runbooks for every operational procedure, produce an up-to-date architecture diagram, and run a live walkthrough with the customer's internal team so they can own the environment confidently after engagement close.

Accountability

We Commit to SLAs,
Not Best-Effort

Every engagement includes a defined set of response targets. When an alarm fires at 2am, your customer doesn't need to chase anyone — our engineers are already on it.

Monthly ops reviews give project stakeholders a clear view of incidents raised, resolved, and prevented — plus cost movements and any open compliance findings.

Toolchain

Native AWS Tools,
No Lock-In

We work primarily with the AWS-native toolchain so there are no third-party agents or licences left behind when we hand over. The customer inherits a clean, auditable environment they already pay for.

Where your architecture calls for Kubernetes or multi-cloud workloads, we bring the right tooling to fit — not the other way around.
